Ngurr-Ngurr approaches their environment with a sustainable and thoughtful approach, whereby they are able to create inviting learning spaces which connect the children’s interests with the world in which they are living.
In Ngurr-Ngurr we take time to think critically about the world the children are living in, connecting their knowledge with their rights, land and traditional owners, the Wadawurrung people.
It is through these connections that the room then embeds cross-curriculum projects which allow children to guide and discover the wonders of the world in which they are growing up in, whilst taking time to scaffold and extend this thinking further.
Ngurr-Ngurr like the other hubs, believes in a consistent approach to the children’s learning where the learning spaces are developed both with the children, and set for the full year to allow ongoing opportunities for their growth and participation.
