Bu - 6 weeks to 12 months 

Rainbow fish; Cutting a couple of fish stencils out of paper, pop them in a zip lock bag with a little homemade paint ready to be patted, squished and spreader

Perridak 1 to 2 years

Rainbow fish; Using a fish template of paper plate, finger paint colourful scales. Once completed add to rainbow rice for hours of fun.

Go-Yin 2 to 3 years

Elmer window decorations; Using a lamination sheet open it up and stick a range of different cut up pieces of paper and newspaper (encourage children to cut or tear their own pieces) – then laminate and place on the window

Ngurr-Ngurr 3 to 5 years

Elmer the elephant making; Cutting a milk carton in half using the top half (keep the bottom half for next week) glue different pieces of cut up paper and newspaper all over until Elmer is created.

Yurn 4 to 6 years

Weaving; Cutting a row in the middle width wise leaving a boarder.  Cut another piece of paper into strips and weave in and out of the paper

Spot the difference; Make you own spot the difference pages on a picture of your own design

Family-Friendly Recipe Idea:

Sticky drumsticks (Makes 8)

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup 
  • 3 tbsp soya sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil 
  • 8 drumsticks 
  • 1 tsp of mince garlic 
  • Tabasco sauce optional 

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees 
  2. Mix the maple syrup, soya sauce garlic and oil together (and tabasco if using it) in a bowl
  3. Add the drumsticks and coat well 
  4. Place on a tray lived with baking paper and roast for 40 minutes or until golden
